Farm Bureau of Michigan names new marketing VP

Farm Bureau Insurance of Michigan has announced the appointment of Matt Taylor (pictured) as its vice president of marketing. The appointment is effective September 07.

In his new role, Taylor will be responsible for leading the growth of policyholders and members and enhancing sales of Farm Bureau Insurance products.

“I am happy to announce Matt’s promotion to vice president of our marketing division,” said Don Simon, CEO of Farm Bureau Insurance of Michigan. “His education, experience, as well as his many years serving our agents and policyholders make him an excellent fit for his new role.”

Taylor began his insurance career at State Farm, where he served in many positions including field consultant, agent owner and agency manager. He joined Farm Bureau in 2009 as an agent. The following year, he joined marketing management as a managing partner in the Southeast region. He has also served as managing partner for the Central and Western regions.

“I look forward to working with our talented team in the marketing division, home office, as well as our field force to continue Farm Bureau Insurance’s mission to protect the people of Michigan from the risks of everyday life,” Taylor said.
