On Jan. 6 ACHS Insurance broke ground on what would be the future site of their new three-story office building in Evans, which would also serve as their new headquarters in the region.

The 21,000 square-foot building, located at the intersection of North Belair Road and Town Park Lane, will allow ACHS to merge its two existing offices in Augusta West Parkway and Wheeler Road into one efficient body. The office, a $4 million investment by the consultant, will have space for up to 75 employees.

“We’re excited about being all in one building,” ACHS president Russell Head remarked.

Aside from enabling ACHS to consolidate its two offices, the new location was chosen to accommodate the consultant’s recent merger with Group & Benefits Consultants, as well as its acquisition by Acrisure. ACHS merged with Group & Benefits last September, and was acquired by Acrisure last May.

Originally founded in 1990 as AHS Insurance, ACHS Insurance primary offerings were geared toward consumer and commercial property and casualty insurance. Thanks to its merger with Group & Benefits Consultants, it is now one of the largest independent brokerage, with an estimated annual revenue of $8 million.
