Specialty lines insurer HDI Global Specialty SE has announced the appointment of Karen Frazer (pictured) as an underwriter, adding to its London-based US delegated authority underwriting team.

Frazer joins the company from Lloyd’s Syndicate Starstone, where she underwrote US open market and delegated authority business. She has also previously served as part of Torus Insurance’s power and utilities underwriting team.

“I’m pleased to welcome Karen to the HDI Global Specialty SE underwriting team,” said Richard Taylor, UK managing director and member of the executive board of management. “She has proven herself to be a hard-working and results-driven team player, and I look forward to Karen playing her part in driving our specialty team forward.”

HDI Global Specialty SE’s delegated authority underwriting team provides full agency and binding authority agreements, with both single- or multi-line capacity, as either a lead or follow line market, the company said.
