The New Hampshire Attorney General’s office has identified the body of a homicide victim as that of 44 year old Michael Carney, who was a salesman at the Rowley Agency, an insurance firm.

Police responding to a 911 call last week found Carney at the Moose Brooke Drive home which is registered to his current wife, Nicole Carney.

The victim sustained two gunshot wounds, which caused his death, according to an autopsy by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

Police are still trying to determine whether Carney’s assailant was acting in self defense. According to police reports, there were two other individuals who were unharmed at the Moose Brooke home at the time of the crime, however further details are unavailable due to an ongoing investigation.

Divorce records indicate that Carney was previously married and had two sons with his former wife. He had a young daughter with his current wife.
