Hub International has continued its North American M&A blitz with the acquisition of Pointbreak Consulting Group, an employee-benefits and pension consulting firm headquartered in British Columbia.
Kevin Jeffrey, principal and CEO of Pointbreak, will join Hub TOS and report to Dave Terry, president of Hub TOS.
The acquisition is the latest in a string of North American deals for Hub. Earlier this month, the global insurance brokerage purchased Der Manouel Insurance & Financial Services, a California-based multi-line brokerage specializing in niche property and casualty programs. Also this month, Hub acquired the assets of Texas-based IPS Advisors, an independent life and health benefits brokerage and consulting firm.
At the end of last year, Hub acquired California-based Desert Empire Insurance Services, a multi-line brokerage specializing in niche markets, and Massachusetts-based Summit Financial Insurance Agency.
