So no surprises there then as Warren Buffett’s runaway Juggernaut of a company tops the Property and Casualty insurance table and ranks at number 4 overall in the country, edged out only by Walmart, Exxon and Apple, in that order. What might be an eye-opener for some, however is the sheer scale of
Berkshire Hathaway’s lead over its competitors. Second on the P&C (stock) insurers is
AIG, itself a colossus but nearly a quarter the size of Omaha’s finest.
