A major operation led by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Texas Department of Public Safety, the Auto Theft Task Force of the El Paso Police Department, and other agencies has nabbed 10 suspects in an insurance racket involving body shops
Dubbed “Operation Paint Job,” the task force looked into employees of El Paso, TX body shops. The agencies involved are working with the district attorney’s office for full prosecution.
The suspects from Big V's Body Shop, C&M Body Shop, Gordo's Body Shop, and Rigo's Body Shop have been arrested after 22 months of investigation.
The task force revealed that the suspects allegedly damaged vehicles and staged accidents to fraudulently collect insurance claims.
