International broker Integro Insurance Brokers has announced the appointment of industry veteran Mike Price to lead its global sport team.

Price, who is based in Georgia, will head strategy and development for the company’s sports division and will collaborate with management teams in North America and the UK to build on the practice’s growth.

A company statement said the new sports head will report to Integro’s global entertainment and sport practice leader Neil Clayton, who is headquartered in London.

Price is the founding chief executive of ESIX, which started operations in the 1990s providing specialized risk management and insurance products and services to amateur and professional teams and athletes. Integro acquired ESIX in 2015.

“Mike’s appointment is an exciting move for the practice and I know he will work to build out the team into different territories and deliver the growth objectives we have in the global sport sector,” Clayton said in the statement.
