Ironshore Inc. announced Mar. 2 that its Specialty Casualty Transportation unit has launched a new suite of products that offer coverage enhancements specifically for transportation product manufacturers and distributors.

Dubbed TransitProtect Plus, the coverage provided by the new product range is underwritten on a primary basis with limits of up to $5 million, either on an occurrence or claims-made basis.

The coverage enhancements featured in TransitProtect Plus include extensions for additional insureds and vendors, limited professional liability, garage keepers’ legal liability, and lot/batch coverage. The products are intended for manufacturers and distributors of automobiles, commercial vehicle operators, recreational motor vehicles, watercraft, and railroad equipment.

“Our seasoned production team understands the complex risks and coverage needs of transportation product manufacturers and distributors. TransitProtect Plus allows us to customize coverage to meet the specific needs of each client facing challenging transportation risks,” said Specialty Casualty president Tim McAuliffe.

The company’s Crisis ThreeSixty coverage, with Recall Reimbursement Expense, helps clients facing an often costly product recall event. Coverage is available on a first dollar basis and includes a free, no-obligation pre-event consultation and post-event assistance for product recalls.
