A reward was offered Friday night for information leading to the recovery of a missing insurance broker.

Edmond Haronian, 50, owner of Haronian Insurance & Financial Services in the Greater Los Angeles Area, was a student pilot who, along with his instructor, Jason Glazier, went missing after their single-engine Cessna vanished over the coast of Catalina Island May 28, according to a CBS Los Angeles report.

The Coast Guard suspended its search for the pair May 30, according to the report. Now family and friends are offering a reward for information leading to Haronian’s recovery. If he’s found alive, the reward offered is $250,000. If the information leads to the recovery of his body, the reward is $150,000.

According to authorities, Glazier has 30 years of experience as a pilot. But no distress call was received, and no wreckage has yet been found. The plane was also in excellent condition, according to CBS Los Angeles.

“We are asking the public to please help us look for his body,” family friend Katy Younesi told CBS Los Angeles. “(But) hopefully alive. But any information leading – you don’t have to go get Edmond for us, but any information you have, give it to us.”

Haronian has been a fixture in California insurance for nearly 30 years, opening his brokerage in April of 1987.

Anyone with information on the disappearance is asked to contact the LAPD.
