Leading insurer in executive reshuffle

Ahead of the finalization of a large acquisition, this insurer is moving around the top brass

Insurance giant ACE Limited has announced a wide-ranging executive reshuffle, which will come into play upon the acquisition of Chubb, expected in the first quarter of 2016.
 
North America Commercial Insurance will deliver a broad range of property and casualty and professional lines products to US and Canadian middle-market customers served by independent agents and brokers, and will be headed up by Steven Pozzi, who will serve as SVP of the new Chubb Group.
 
The North America Personal Risk Services unit, which will offer an array of property and casualty insurance products for individuals and families with fine homes, automobiles, art, jewelry, watercraft and other valuable possessions, will be headed up by Frances D. O’Brien, SVP, and C. Scott Gunter who will serve as Chief Operating Officer. O’Brien will report to Paul J. Krump, who will serve as executive VP of the new Chubb Group.
 
North America Professional Lines will provide professional and management liability insurance solutions for the Major Accounts, Commercial Insurance and Small Commercial business units that serve customers in the US and Canada, as well as the company’s North America Wholesale/E&S business and its operations in Bermuda. Robert C. Cox will serve as division chairman and Scott A. Meyer will serve as division president. Cox will report to John Lupica, who, as previously announced, will serve as Vice Chairman of the new Chubb Group.
 
North America Major Accounts will serve the risk management segment of large US and Canadian-based companies that require tailored coverage solutions, often involving global underwriting expertise in regulation, loss assessment and mitigation, and claims handling supported through coordinated relationship management. Christopher A. Maleno will serve as SVP of the new Chubb Group and head up the unit.
 
Andrew McBride will serve as Executive VP, claims, for the Overseas General Insurance division, which comprises two major businesses: one with distribution through retail brokers in five regions of the world – Asia Pacific, Europe, Latin America, Far East and Eurasia & Africa – and the other an excess and surplus (E&S) lines business with distribution through brokers in the London wholesale market and Lloyd’s. As previously announced, Juan C. Andrade will serve as executive VP of the new Chubb Group and president of the Overseas General Insurance division.
