Liberty Mutual Insurance shared information regarding its proposed campus in Plano, Texas.

The insurer held its groundbreaking ceremony for the upcoming one million square feet facility in late September.

According to Liberty Mutual, the 19-storey building will serve as a state-of-the-art campus for over 4,000 employees. It will be conveniently situated next to amenities like restaurants, shops, apartments, health clubs, and daycare, among others.

Liberty’s new building will feature things like seven levels of covered parking space, an on-site medical center, locker rooms, an advanced conference center, two rooftop gardens, and an open floor plan to maximize natural lighting.

The insurer touted the building as having a LEED-certified design, to be constructed using materials indigenous to the region. To meet LEED Silver requirements, the design, construction and operation of the facility will utilize sustainable and/or green resources and materials. The building will also incorporate energy-efficiency and water conservation measures.

The construction project is anticipated to provide 1,000 construction jobs.
