Lloyd’s has announced the appointment of Sara Gomez as chief people officer (CPO), effective immediately.

Gomez has broad experience as a CPO, including leadership roles in the retail, commercial and financial sectors. Most recently, she served at Greensill, where she created the people function during a period of high global growth. Prior to that, Gomez served as people director at Moss Bros. she also served for seven years at Direct Line Group.

Gomez joined Lloyd’s in July and was appointed interim chief HR officer and a member of Lloyd’s executive committee in December. In her new role, she will focus on developing Lloyd’s talent, leadership and inclusion strategy.

“I am delighted to confirm Sara in the new role of chief people officer at what is an important time for the Lloyd’s Corporation as we develop our talent and inclusion strategy,” said John Neal, CEO of Lloyd’s. “Sara is a proven leader, and in the short time that she has been at Lloyd’s, she has already made a significant and valuable contribution.”
