Worldwide Facilities LLC was named “Employer of the Year” by the Los Angeles CPCU Society Chapter in December, the first such award for the California insurance firm.
“Employer of the Year” recognizes a company for the support they provide to employees in earning the CPCU designation, as well as their involvement in the CPCU Society throughout the year.
Worldwide Facilities was chosen for its commitment to “supporting its employees in their studies,” according to a news release from the CPCU Society’s Los Angeles Chapter. During 2015, two employees earned their CPCU designation and several more are on track to completing the designation in 2016.
“Worldwide Facilities places a lot of value in their employees continuing their insurance education and earning this designation that will help them in all aspects of their career,” the LA chapter said.
The company also supports the CPCU Society as one of the sponsors of its Annual All Industry Day in October, and by encouraging employees to attend society events and luncheons.
“Because of the company’s support and sponsorship, Worldwide Facilities employees are often a valued contributing presence at CPCU Society events,” according to the release.
The award was accepted on behalf of the firm by Lori Hunter, CPCU, who earned her designation and played a lead role in increasing the company’s involvement with the CPCU Society throughout the years. An article by Hunter, “Product Contamination Insurance: Coverage Issues for Increasing Exposures,” is scheduled to appear in the
Insights technical journal this spring.
