In a day of rapid consolidation and globalization in the insurance business, marking 90 years in business as an independent agency is more than a little unusual.

So it is that Avery Hall Insurance Group, of Salisbury, Maryland is more than a little pleased to announce its 90th anniversary.

President Joe Gast attributed the firm’s longevity to “being able to change with the times and meet the needs of the various generations over the years.”

The company has grown over time, now employing 69 people in four offices in Maryland and Delaware, and has just rolled out a new tagline: “Insurance Solutions for Today’s World”.

Founded by Avery Hall in 1925 in Salisbury, Hall ran the company for many years, and had this to say on the company’s 40th anniversary in 1965: “Always remember that we are dealing with people and people like to be respected.”

The company covers pretty much all the bases, from personal lines to commercial, benefits and life insurance. “We serve all needs, no matter if you’re a multimillion dollar business or a young professional or a retiree on a fixed income,” said CFO Jill long in a press release.
