Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company has been named one of Fortune Magazine’s “World’s Most Admired Companies.” MassMutual is the list’s top-ranked mutual company in the life and health insurance industry category. The company also placed at number two overall across the life and health insurance category.

Fortune’s 2018 World’s Most Admired Company survey was conducted in the fall of 2017. The survey polled executives, directors and analysts across 52 industries, and assessed nine categories considered crucial to a company’s global success.

MassMutual’s number-two placement in the life and health insurance category is a gain of three positions over last year, and marks the company’s best performance ever. The company also ranked first for innovation among the top three health insurers in the areas of people management, use of corporate assets, quality of management, social responsibility and financial soundness.
