Metro Credit Union, the largest state-chartered credit union in Massachusetts, has launched its own insurance business.

The business, Metro Insurance Advisors, is an “agency offering a complete line of insurance products and coverage for automobiles, homeowners, renters, and businesses,” a release said.

“Insurance is a product that all individuals need,” said Metro Credit Union president and CEO Robert Cashman. “As the trusted financial institution for more than 190,000 members, our goal is to provide high-quality, affordable solutions that make managing finances easy. We are pleased to add Metro Insurance Advisors to our already-robust line of financial solutions.”

The company has collaborated with MAPFRE Insurance to develop the business.
