The Crichton Group has appointed Cooper Jones to serve as the agency’s new president.

“Throughout his time with our firm, Cooper has been integral in expanding offerings and opportunities for our clients,” said The Crichton Group CEO and co-chair Jimmy Ward in a statement. “During this time of rapidly evolving and complex change within our industry, we look forward to broadening our service platforms further under Cooper’s leadership.”

As president, Jones will supervise the company’s insurance offerings, marketing of new services, and product development. He will still lead the agency’s nonprofit and social services division in the same capacity as his previous position, on top of his new responsibilities.

Jones joined The Crichton Group back in 2002. He is a member of both the United Heartland Agency Council and the Hartford Insurance Company Agency Council. Jones is also a preferred partner of the Nashville-based Center for Nonprofit Management.

Jones is a graduate of the University of Mississippi and is a recipient of a bachelor’s degree in business administration.

Bob Jackson, the outgoing president of the agency, will continue to serve The Crichton Group as co-chair of the company. Jackson will also maintain involvement in leading the agency, a statement from the company said.
