Aspirus Arise Health Plan of Wisconsin—a collaborative effort between Aspirus and WPS Health Solutions—will start providing insurance products in 16 of Wisconsin’s counties this year, according to a press release.

With approval from regulatory insurance agencies, the new plan will go into effect in 2017.

The Madison-based Arise Health Plan is a part of WPS Health Solutions that offers individual, business, small group, large group and self-funded plans.

Arise Health Plan will continue to offer the co-branded Aspirus Arise individual and small-group health plans in 2016.

“[By] expanding our relationship to form this health insurance company, we are better positioned to serve patients in a more personalized way,” said WPS Health Solutions president and CEO Mike Hamerlik.

The press release did not disclose any specific details of the plan, such as the premium rates.
