Alliant Insurance Services, the nation’s largest specialty insurance brokerage firm, has named a new vice president for its Alliant Americas division: Megan Datwyler, a former sales executive and experienced insurance professional.

“It is great to be a part of a growing and well-respected organization,” Datwyler said. “…What is most exciting is being able to offer my clients advanced technological capabilities and market clout, along with a team of people who put clients first. Alliant is a unique hybrid of brokerage, underwriting, service, and advocacy which is unique and the market desires this.”

Alliant launched Alliant Americas in 2014 to expand the company’s presence in the middle market through strategic acquisitions and investments. Alliant Americas provides midsized busineses with targeted insurance products and services through a dedicated national platform.
The company also said it has plans to “service a growing portfolio of middle market clients throughout the Southwest region.”

“Alliant is actively engaged in a national acquisition campaign across all of our divisions,” a company spokesperson said. “We are looking to partner with like-minded companies that share our vision for entrepreneurialism, service, and market knowledge. Alliant is also growing organically, regularly hiring successful brokers that thrive within our dynamic corporate culture.”

Datwyler has extensive expertise in property and casualty programs, loss prevention, and claims administration. Her diverse career history spans some of the region’s largest insurance carriers and brokerages. In addition to her experience as a producer, Datwyler has also served as an underwriter and in-house corporate risk management specialist.

“My goal is to align the needs of each unique client with the right resources and teams within this dynamic organization,” Datwyler said. “With thoughtful evaluation, design, and leadership, this will elevate everyone in their role and the client ultimately wins. The best avenue to accomplish this will be bringing together a focused team of professionals to build on what Alliant already has accomplished.”
