Newfront Insurance has named Garth Hamilton as chief sales officer.

Hamilton will lead brokers in creating client solutions in his new role. He will also help continue the firm’s organic growth, a release said.

He joins from Hub International, where he served as chief sales officer and property/casualty market leader. In that role, Hamilton led the company to “unprecedented growth” in the Pacific Northwest region.

Hamilton is a former insurance producer and agency principal with expertise in wholesale real estate and retail placements. Newfront Insurance said in a release that it hopes to utilize Hamilton’s experience as a broker to help inspire its team of brokers to be top performers.

“We were struck by Garth’s track record, leadership, and vision. Having been a producer himself, he knows how to build a book of business and what it means to take care of clients,” Newfront Insurance co-founder and CEO Spike Lipkin said.

“Newfront is creating an industry-leading program for maximizing broker performance,” commented Hamilton on his appointment. “People want to work here because they know they can win.”

Last October, Newfront Insurance appointed Michael Brown to serve as the company’s newest chief operating officer. Brown joined Newfront from Uber, where he oversaw the transportation networking company’s business in Southeast Asia and Australia.
