Ryan Specialty Group (RSG) has promoted Reza Khan as the new CEO of two of its underwriting managers, ThinkRisk and CorPro.

Khan previously served as executive vice president for both entities and has been with ThinkRisk since 2011. The industry veteran brings with him 35 years’ experience having worked in new product development including coverages such as cyber liability, and designing dynamic underwriting platforms for professional and management liability products.

The new CEO began his career as an underwriter at American International Group and has held subsequent executive positions at the Berkeley Group (Aon Affinity), Media/Professional Insurance, Darwin Professional Underwriters, and Allied World.

“We believe Reza’s executive leadership, product development skills and distribution relationships will position both ThinkRisk and CorPro to excel under competitive market dynamics,” said Miles Wuller, COO of RSG Underwriting Managers.

CorPro acts as AIG’s underwriting facility for small to mid-market (SME) private and non-profit management liability programs. Meanwhile, ThinkRisk specializes in in professional lines, management liability, content, data security and privacy insurance products.

A few weeks ago, RSG announced it had reached an agreement to acquire the assets and operations of New York-based wholesale brokerage Kerwick & Curran. The brokerage will become part of RT Specialty, RSG’s wholesale brokerage unit.
