The Independent Insurance Agents of Texas (IIAT), the nation’s largest state association of Trusted Choice® agencies, announced Wednesday the details of its upcoming Small Agency Conference.

The Small Agency Conference is an annual event held by the IIAT that serves to help small insurance agencies in Texas network with each other. The event also hosts a variety of informative discussions to allow agents from smaller agencies to learn more of the industry’s latest developments. This year, the conference will be held from Sept. 18 to 19, in San Marcos at the Embassy Suites San Marcos Hotel.

Over 70 major carriers and MGAs will be present at the conference, as part of the Discover Markets Trade Show—an activity designed to aid small agencies in exploring new market opportunities.

Attendees can also earn up to 4 CE credits for participating in the conference and its slated activities.

In a release, the IIAT revealed the agenda of its conference session:

  • 2016 Industry Trends and Challenges
  • Maximize Your Capacity: Boost Productivity and Apply Strengths to the Work at Hand Using Kolbe Wisdom
  • Full Speed Ahead: Growth Strategies for Small Agencies
  • Quality Control Best Practices: Protect Your Clients' and Agency's Bottom Line
  • Game Changers: Turbo Charge Your Toolkit
  • Enhancing Your Team: #millennials
  • Maximizing Wholesaler Relationships
  • Expanding Income Opportunities with Fees

Those interested in participating in the event may head to the IIAT’s official website for registration, where they can find even more details on the conference.
