A group of insurance agencies in the Philadelphia region have banded together to launch a brand-new agency network with the aim of supporting independent agents through the coronavirus pandemic.

The new network, called Strategic Agency Partners (SAP), has a geographic footprint in New Jersey and eastern Pennsylvania. It was co-founded by BCA Group of Northfield, The Stanton Insurance Group of Cherry Hill, J.S. Braddock Agency of Medford and The Barclay Group of Riverton – all located in southern New Jersey.

“The impact of the coronavirus is going to be significant on the economy, independent insurance agents and their clients,” said John Latimer, managing partner of SAP and president of The Barclay Group. “We think now more than ever, agency owners need to consider joining an agency network.”

SAP is an evolution of the South Jersey Agency Partners, a network formed in late 2018 with a focus on southern New Jersey. The founders, listed above, realized a strong demand to expand the network to include more agents and widen the support network.

All agencies that join SAP will remain fully independent and individually owned. They will have access to consolidated common insurance carrier premium, and will gain consultative support around business development, technology, agency operations and more.

“My agency has realized significant improvements in revenue as well as the tremendous benefit of collaborating with experienced colleagues who understand my business,” commented Dave Stanton, president of the Stanton Insurance Group. “Our relationships with insurance companies have really improved since we joined the group.”
