The Hanover Insurance Group has announced that John C. Roche, the company’s president and CEO, has signed the CEO Action for Diversity and Inclusion pledge, joining a coalition of more than 750 CEOs.

CEO Action for Diversity & Inclusion is the largest CEO-driven business commitment to diversity and inclusion in the workplace. CEO Action was founded in 2017 and aims to cultivate workplaces where diverse perspectives are encouraged and appreciated, The Hanover said.

“We are proud to join forces with CEO Action for Diversity & Inclusion and the hundreds of CEOs and organizations that have pledged to create workplaces that are more open, aware and accepting, and by extension, more responsive, innovative and successful,” Roche said. “As an organization, The Hanover is dedicated to delivering training and other resources that help employees at all levels to feel a sense of belonging and that they are supported as they strive to reach their full potential.
