The Hilb Group (THG) has acquired Regency Insurance Group (RIG) in Bonita Springs, FL.

According to a release, the deal became effective February 01, 2020.

RIG is a property and casualty insurance agency that specializes in personal lines coverage. The agency focuses on serving Florida households by providing home, auto, flood, and watercraft insurance.

Following closure of the transaction, RIG agency leaders Kagen Cooksley and Kevin Koelemeyer will continue to lead the agency’s associates out of their existing office location.

“RIG is a fantastic fit for our Florida operations,” said THG CEO Ricky Spiro, who added that RIG’s specialization and expertise in personal insurance is a “welcome addition.”

“We believe this presents an opportunity to further improve and expand the quality service and insurance solutions we provide our clients,” commented Cooksley.

Koelemeyer said in a statement that the RIG team looks forward to a “mutually and highly beneficial partnership” with THG.

Late last month, THG acquired Group Brokerage Insurance Agency (GBIA) in Massachusetts. GBIA is an employee benefits agency that focuses on providing group medical, dental, life, short- and long-term disability, and long-term care insurance.
