Aerospace insurance provider Worldlink Specialty (WLS) has announced the appointment of John Songin (pictured above) as its new president and chief underwriting officer, effective Aug. 1.

Songin is a well-regarded industry veteran with a strong background in aviation and property and casualty insurance. Based in Chicago, he has held prominent roles in senior underwriting and business development, including his most recent position at a leading specialty insurer.

“Bringing John on board is a pivotal step towards the continued growth and development of WLS, and we are very confident that John’s experience and talent will prove to be a significant contribution to our future success,” said Phil Gingell, chairman and CEO of WLS.

“John’s reputation in the market speaks for itself, and we’re delighted to have him leading WLS into its next chapter,” said Mike Reynolds, CEO of WLS parent Oneglobal. “With a proven underwriting track record and a real flair for relationship management, we believe he’s the perfect fit for the role and the wider Oneglobal group.”
