Wright Specialty Insurance is introducing a new specialty insurance program, featuring comprehensive P&C coverages and risk management services, for small to medium-sized municipalities.

The new municipality insurance program will feature coverages such as general liability, property, equipment breakdown, inland marine, crime, public officials, employment practices, law enforcement, educators’ legal liability, commercial auto, and excess liability.

“We created our first dollar, low deductible municipality insurance program in conjunction with Munich Re Specialty Insurance, to help public entities manage the unique risks they face more effectively and cost-efficiently,” said Wright Specialty president Kevin Beer. “It’s a comprehensive program that gives our brokers and agents a competitive market advantage and a convenient way to serve their public entity clients with outstanding insurance coverage.”

“Given Wright Specialty’s longstanding and successful history in the public entity space, we are thrilled to partner with them as we build out our product offering for municipalities,” commented Munich Re Specialty Insurance head of insurance programs Kevin Johnson.

The program will be made available to small to medium cities (those with less than 75,000 residents) in the following states: AL, CO, CT, DE, FL, GA, IA, ID, KS, KY, MD, MT, NC, ND, NE, NH, NV, OH, OR, RI, SC, SD, TN, VT, WI and the District of Columbia.
