The Wholesale & Specialty Insurance Association (WSIA) has opened registration for its upcoming 2019 Underwriting Summit.

The event will run from February 24 to 27, at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in National Harbor, MD.

Compared to WSIA’s Annual Marketplace event, the Underwriting Summit will be a “more relaxed, intimate environment,” providing an opportunity for WSIA members to network with each other. An estimated 1,500 attendees will participate in this year’s summit.

WSIA has tapped former US President George W. Bush to be the keynote speaker for this year’s event. The 43rd President is part of the E.G. Lassiter Lecture Series which is sponsored by the WSIA Education Foundation.

During the event, the WSIA will also conduct a brief Annual Business Meeting, wherein the association will elect new officers and directors. The meeting will also hold an awarding ceremony, recognizing several WSIA members for their contributions to the organization and the industry.

There is more to the event than just business, however; the WSIA Education Foundation will host the Rogan Cup golf event on February 27.

Interested members can register for the upcoming event on WSIA’s website.
