Zurich North America announced three strategic leadership promotions within its customer and distribution management (CDM) team on Wednesday, aimed at deepening broker engagement and enhancing customer support across the US market.
The company appointed Carl Sutter as head of national strategic broker relationships, Andy Peterson as head of regional distribution, and Allison McEnerney Sletteland as regional executive for the New York Metro region.
“Carl, Andy and Allison each bring to the table a degree of experience and expertise that will help us enhance our distribution partnerships, maximize our capabilities and position us for long-term success,” said John Diaz, head of customer and distribution management. “Furthermore, they emphasize the deep bench of talent we have within Zurich through each of these roles being filled with existing Zurich talent.”
Sutter, formerly head of regional distribution, will now oversee all broker relationship leaders in his new role. Based in Florida, he joined Zurich in 2021 and brings with him more than two decades of industry experience, including senior leadership roles at Chubb and ACE USA. In his expanded position, he will focus on building and maintaining strategic relationships with key brokers across the country.
Peterson, previously regional executive for New York Metro, will now lead the national team of regional executives, area executives and territory leaders. His responsibilities include guiding the implementation of Zurich’s North American distribution strategy and promoting the company’s customer value proposition. Based in the New York metropolitan area, Peterson has been with Zurich since 2008 and has held several leadership positions, including senior broker relationship leader and regional vice president for the Northeast Region.
Sletteland, who assumes the role of regional executive for New York Metro, most recently served as a broker relationship leader. Also based in the New York area, she joined Zurich in 2008 following roles at Marsh McLennan, Priceline, and Citigroup. In her new role, she will be responsible for overseeing Zurich’s engagement in one of its key regional markets.
