Marsh has announced a new US project-specific general liability product for the construction industry. The company’s new Project Edge is designed to respond to the industry’s evolving risks, including the risks associated with drones, the Internet of Things, alternative project delivery methods and off-site construction.

Project Edge was developed by Marsh’s Global Construction Practice and is underwritten by Apollo Liability Consortium. The product contains nearly a dozen liability coverage enhancements to provide broad flexibility. It’s also highly customizable to meet clients’ individual project-specific needs, the company said.

“From contract-procurement methods to construction-site automation and innovation, the risks associated with a construction project are constantly evolving,” said David Marino, Marsh’s US Construction Practice leader. “Project Edge is a state-of-the-art liability solution that addresses the changing risk profiles of owners, developers, and contractors to help them improve their competitiveness and profitability.”

Project Edge is available exclusively to Marsh construction clients. It can be purchased as either a standard general-liability policy or as a wrap-up, and offers up to $2 million in primary limits per occurrence.
