RT Specialty division promotes marketing leader to expanded role

RT New Day – a division of RT Specialty – has promoted Sheryl Barr to director of marketing and communications.

Barr first joined RT New Day in 2009 as a marketing coordinator. Since then, her responsibilities have increased to include the strategic development of the company’s package of marketing and sales material, newsletters, email communications, and social media activities. She also manages a blog that connects brokers to industry-related articles on potential claims incidents and events.

She previously held sales and marketing positions with Golder Associates, Fluor Daniel, Davis Management Company, and Biokinetics.

Barr holds an MBA from Rutgers University - Camden, as well as a bachelor of science degree in marketing from American University - Kogod School of Business.

“Sheryl has dedicated the past 10 years to expanding our presence among key target audiences nationwide, while solidly establishing our position as the industry’s premier resource for environmental and construction related professional liability,” remarked RT New Day president Jefferey S. Lejfer.

Lejfer also noted that Barr has taken responsibility for a wide range of functions such as event planning and the update of the company’s website, as well as the maintenance of RT New Day’s sales database and staff licensing efforts.

“Her work to successfully promote RT New Day has been integral to our steady growth and the results we expect to achieve well into the future,” the president stated.
