Specialist insurance provider CFC has announced the appointment of Shannon Groeber (pictured) to the newly created role of executive vice president.

Groeber will be based in New York and will be responsible for leading CFC’s cyber strategy for its admitted cyber proposition. Prior to joining CFC, she served as cyber innovation leader at Marsh JLT Specialty. She also spent five years as JLT Specialty’s cyber and E&O practice leader.

“Shannon is a hugely respected and influential figure in the cyber insurance market, and I’m delighted that she has joined us to drive the development of our admitted cyber product in the US,” said Dave Walsh, CEO of CFC. “Our global cyber practice has been at the heart of CFC for the past 20 years, and we’re proud to be considered as one of the leading underwriters of this class. The US is a massively important market for us, and I couldn’t think of a better person than Shannon to lead and execute our cyber strategy for CFC in the US.”

CFC offers a full suite of cyber insurance products. It recently introduced a new cyber insurance platform for online quoting and binding for SME cyber business.

“CFC has been one of the pioneers of the cyber market and has consistently set the benchmark, both in the development of the cover it offers and in the claims and incident response service it provides,” Groeber said. “Having worked closely with CFC’s cyber practice over recent years, I’m truly excited to become part of the team as we look to expand our offering in the US market.”
