AmWINS taps industry veteran, former Army officer

AmWINS Brokerage of Georgia has appointed Alex Furlong, an energy and environmental specialist, to its casualty team, the company has announced. Furlong will be based in Atlanta.

Prior to joining AmWINS, Furlong served as a casualty producer at All Risks. Before that, he served for eight years in the US Army as an infantry officer and Special Forces commander, serving tours in Afghanistan and various locations throughout Southeast Asia.

“We are very fortunate to have Alex join our family,” said Heath Cunningham, executive vice president of casualty at AmWINS Brokerage of Georgia. “We are looking forward to expanding and diversifying our casualty footprint, and Alex will be a great addition to our team.”
