Loews Hotels chairman Jonathan M. Tisch will assume the chief executive position at the hotel chain following the exit of Kirk Kinsell, who left for personal reasons effective immediately, according to reports.

Tisch will continue to serve in his current positions as chairman of Loews Hotels and co-chairman of the board for Loews Corporation.

"Loews Hotels has never been stronger. During Kirk's tenure as CEO, there have been many positive changes at Loews Hotels, and we fully intend to build on that success. We've added top talent to our already strong bench, expanded our network of hotels, and continued to improve our operations and profitability," Tisch explained.

Further, he said, "Loews Hotels will remain focused on opportunistically growing in key markets with our group hotels and resort destinations. The company, along with its team members and partners, is committed to providing the best experience for all of our guests."

Loews has a portfolio of 25 properties across the US and Canada. It operates three brands.
