Allianz Partners has unveiled four senior appointments across its health line of business, as the insurance group pushes ahead with a segment-led model intended to sharpen client service, lift commercial performance and drive growth in global and regional health insurance markets.
Marco Fattori (pictured above, left) has been appointed Global Lead – Corporate Employee Benefits, taking charge of the worldwide Employee Benefits strategy and overseeing account management and sales across key regions. He reports to Giovanni di Meo, head of commercial, health and benefits.
Fattori began his career at Allianz SE in Group HR before moving to Allianz Global Benefits in 2014, where he held posts including Head of Account Management, Sales Director in Europe, and Head of Employee Benefits Tender Management.
Gordon Delaney (pictured above, right) joins as Global Lead – Corporate IPMI, with responsibility for growth, commercial performance and global pipeline development. He will work alongside sales, key account management and underwriting teams, and also reports to di Meo.
Delaney arrives from Cigna Healthcare, where he was Sales Director for the International Organizations division. He brings more than 20 years in international health insurance, with previous senior roles at AXA Global Healthcare and Allianz Partners across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Cyril Samson takes up the role of Employee Benefits Segment Sales Lead for Europe, overseeing delivery for multinational clients and aligning sales resources with strategic priorities. He will also handle key strategic accounts and lead broker management across the region, reporting to Liam Hughes, head of sales for Europe.
Samson has spent much of his career at Allianz Global Benefits, most recently leading sales and account management for multinational clients on risk and personal solutions. He joined Allianz in 2004 from Gerling Pensions Management, where he was Head of International Employee Benefits.
Paul Hogan steps up as Senior Sales Manager, leading Employee Benefits Segment Sales for the UK. He will run the UK sales strategy, deepen ties with global clients and brokers, and pursue new business, also reporting to Hughes.
Hogan joined Allianz in 2017 from Mapfre, where he was Regional Commercial Manager for the MENA region. He has since held senior positions in the Middle East International Health account management team and brings close to 20 years of experience across international health, reinsurance and commercial insurance.
The new hires build on a wider leadership reset at the start of 2026, when Allianz Partners named di Meo to the commercial, health and benefits role, Hughes as head of sales for Europe, Carl Downham as head of sales for the Middle East and Africa, and Elke De Cauwer as head of sales steering, transformation and performance.
Di Meo joined Allianz from Generali in January 2020, while Hughes arrived from Cigna International with more than 30 years of B2B experience, framing the reporting lines into which the latest commercial and regional leads now slot.
David Myers, Global Head of Sales and KAM at Allianz Partners, said the four hires bring "immense industry insight and knowledge, that will be invaluable as we achieve our growth ambitions."
Myers added that the focus is on leveraging the full strength of Allianz through a segment-led approach, positioning the group as "a true one-stop-shop for health and benefits brokers and clients, ensuring a consistent, scalable and unique proposition across all markets."
