The Amynta Group has announced the consolidation of two of its underwriting units – Oryx Insurance Brokerage and Total Program Management – into a unified healthcare platform operating under the name Oryx Healthcare.
The new platform aims to provide a centralized offering of insurance products and services tailored for middle-market healthcare organizations. These services will include solutions for allied health, long-term care, social services, and senior care providers.
The company said the move is part of a strategy to streamline and expand its presence in the healthcare segment while maintaining its existing operations in construction and manufacturing.
Oryx will continue to operate under Tom Pasquale (pictured above), who will remain as president and CEO. Meanwhile, Kevin Mordarski will take on the role of practice leader for Oryx Healthcare, where he will oversee the growth of products and expansion into new geographic areas.
The launch of Oryx Healthcare follows Amynta's approach to align specialized expertise under a single structure. The integration combines TPM’s experience in healthcare with Oryx’s broader underwriting capabilities.
Bob Schultz, head of insurance programs at Amynta Group, said the combination of TPM and Oryx will support the delivery of tailored solutions to the healthcare market.
"This combination brings together TPM's longstanding healthcare expertise with the deep product and underwriting depth of Oryx, positioning the company to provide innovative insurance solutions that address the unique needs of the healthcare market,” Schultz said.
The formation of Oryx Healthcare also comes amid other internal developments at Amynta-affiliated companies. In March, Builders & Tradesmen’s Insurance Services, Inc. (BTIS), a managing general underwriter and Amynta Group company, promoted Jessica Keefe to senior vice president, head of operations.
Keefe, who has over 20 years of experience in insurance compliance and operational leadership, is responsible for overseeing service enhancements and supporting strategic growth initiatives at BTIS.
