The OneOrlando Fund Board, through the National Center for Victims of Crime, has started processing 351 claims from survivors and families of the victims of the June 12 shooting in Orlando, Florida, according to reports.

The Pulse night club shooting left more than 100 people killed or injured. Survivors and victims’ families stand to benefit from the $26 million OneOrlando fund.

“These are individual victims who were shot or trapped in the nightclub,” fund administrator Ken Feinberg told reporters last month. “They are the only victims eligible under this program.”

Claimants filed for benefits based on a final protocol approved by the fund board, which is in turn based on feedback from partners including Equality Florida, National Compassion Fund, and the National Center for Victims of Crime, and the Orlando community. Administrators set the claims filing deadline for September 12.

Funds for the victims were raised through the efforts of Equality Florida and The Center, which are both active LGBTQ advocacy groups in Florida. Feinberg said in a previous report that the entirety of the fund will be disbursed to victims and their families, as administrators such as him are providing their services pro bono.
