LexisNexis Risk Solutions has unveiled a new distribution channel for its data assets and claims solutions.

The new LexisNexis Global Insurance Alliance program helps insurers integrate with over 125 alliance program members to access policy and claims solutions. A release said that the scalable program will leverage LexisNexis’s comprehensive data repository, its proprietary linking and clustering data method, and the processing speed of its HPCC Systems big data computing platform.

The alliance program offers three types of opportunities to users:

  • Data delivery – Insurers can distribute LexisNexis data analytics solutions via their own insurance software products.
  • Systems integrator – The Global Insurance Alliance program provides carriers with the resources and expertise needed to complete a technology transformation initiative.
  • Industry organization – Insurers can share best practices and thought leadership to improve outcomes.

The program was developed in response to insurers’ growing need for innovative turnkey solutions for analytics.

“The insurance industry has steadily moved toward prebuilt solutions that use a Software-as-a-Service architecture, and the LexisNexis Risk Solutions platform is designed for this type of delivery model,” said LexisNexis Risk Solutions senior director of global alliances Drew Whitmore.

“For the past two decades we have been working with various organizations to bring our data analytics products to our mutual insurance customers, but have now created more structure and a formal program. With this launch, our goal is to make insurers aware of the many relationships we have in place so that they can easily tap into them,” Whitmore added.

Alliance members – which include technology providers and up-and-coming insurtechs – will get to offer their solutions to over 600 insurers in the home, auto, life and commercial insurance segments via the program, a release said.
