Tom joined WTW in June, 2022 and has served clients in the construction industry for over thirty-five (35) years delivering commercial property casualty solutions. Tom has held a variety of executive leadership roles on both the underwriting and brokerage sides of the business. Most recently, Tom was the Chief Broking Officer for Aon’s Construction & Infrastructure group for nearly four (4) years. Prior to Aon, Tom led AIG’s Construction Industry across North America, leading underwriting and service for all admitted and non-admitted insurance solutions supporting construction clients. During his nearly sixteen (16) years at AIG, Tom also led their U.S. Energy team for two (2) years.
Tom currently serves as an EVP, Chief Client Officer, leading the Construction strategies to ensure WTW clients maximize their strategic approach to managing risk and receive superior brokerage and advisory support. He leads multidisciplinary, client teams focused on reducing the total cost of risk for large and complex businesses and projects, delivering long-term, sustainable value.
Tom has extensive experience addressing some of the most challenging and complex risk issues construction clients face, from wildfire risk to New York construction risk, fleet risk and construction defect litigation.
The author of several papers and articles published in industry periodicals and conference proceedings associated with insurance and liability management, Tom is also a frequent speaker at regional and national conferences sponsored by groups like IRMI and The Association of General Contractors (AGC).
