Strategy Associate, Chief Operating Office, HR
Arzu Ozdemir is a Strategy Associate at AIG, working directly with the COO of HR with developing, communicating, delivering, and sustaining a global HR strategy, vision, and transformation plan. At AIG, Arzu is also part of the leadership team for the New York Latino Network Employee Resource Group (ERG), one of more than 140 AIG ERGs worldwide that advance diversity and inclusion within AIG’s communities. She joined AIG in August 2018 as Human Resources Analyst in AIG’s People Analytics team in New York. In November 2019, she joined the HR Transformation team, before getting appointed to her current role in August this year. Also this year, Arzu has been recognised as an ethnic minority executive role model, ranking 42nd in the latest EMpower Top 100. Outside her official role, Arzu serves on the board of Diverse Influencers, a non-profit professional development organization for diverse students in the City University of New York system. She also mentors first generation students at Columbia University in the City of New York. Arzu graduated with a magna cum laude bachelor’s degree in business administration from Baruch College, and also has an IB Diploma Certificate in business, mathematics, history, and English from International Baccalaureate.
