Chris Sekine was appointed president and CEO of Trisura Guarantee Insurance Company in 2019 to take over the responsibility for the strategic and operational performance of the business. Sekine previously served as senior vice president for surety and has been with Trisura since its inception in 2006. As part of the Trisura Guarantee leadership team, Sekine has been helping set the specialty insurer’s executive and strategic direction for over a decade, including Trisura’s broker strategic initiative, reinsurance placement, and overseeing underwriting decisions. Sekine has more than 27 years of experience in the insurance industry and previously held senior executive roles with two large international insurers. Sekine currently serves on the board of directors for the Surety Association of Canada and has participated on various sub-committees for SAC. He has an Honours BA in Economics from Carleton University in Ottawa.
