Jon Dye was appointed chief executive of Allianz in July 2013. The company is focused on the provision of property and casualty insurance to commercial and personal customers in Great Britain and is the UK insurance arm of Allianz SE, the global financial services provider and the world’s largest general insurer. Dye is also a non-executive director of LV General Insurance Group, following the joint venture announced in 2017. Prior to this, he was general manager, retail, responsible for trading activities for all personal lines products through broker, corporate partner, and direct channels; and director of claims for Allianz, having joined the company in that position in June 2003. Dye’s work experience also extends to Chubb Insurance Company of Europe SA where he was in a variety of claims roles from 1998 to 2003. He also spent nine years at Commercial Union, having joined as management trainee in 1989. He is a law graduate of Cambridge University and a fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute. In 2019, Dye was recognised as one of the Global 100 leaders by Insurance Business.
