Aviva Canada, one of the nation’s largest P&C insurance groups, has announced a new multi-year partnership with Canadian tennis icon Milos Raonic.

Raonic, born in Yugoslavia and raised in Canada since the age of three, is currently ranked No. 8 worldwide by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP).  His uniform will now adorn the Aviva logo at Wimbledon, now underway.

He is now Aviva Canada’s second tennis star ambassador, following Genie Bouchard, who became a partner with the insurer in early June.

“Insurance companies are an integral part of our communities, and I am excited to be associated with such a strong Canadian insurer and global brand,” Raonic said in a release. “I’m on the road most of the year and it’s great to know that my partner Aviva will be there to support and protect what I care about most.”

In addition to these star-studded collaborations, Aviva Canada also initiated a 10-year deal with Tennis Canada, and gained naming rights to its Toronto facility, now Aviva Centre. In addition, Aviva Canada is a sole insurance partner of the Rogers Cup, at both its Toronto and Montreal events.

“To be connected with a world-class athlete who proudly represents Canada on the world stage as Milos does, is a privilege for Aviva in Canada and globally,” said Aviva Insurance Company of Canada President Sharon Ludlow. “We are hopeful that our new partnership will contribute to the growing strength of the sport for generations to come.”
