Bertie and Clinton Mutual Insurance – one of Niagara, ON’s oldest insurance companies, has announced that it has rebranded itself and has launched a new company logo and website to match.

Founded in 1880, Bertie and Clinton Mutual Insurance has now become BCM Insurance.

The company’s new logo, depicting three golden leaves, pays homage to BCM’s agricultural roots – a collective of local farmers formed what would be the original Bertie and Clinton Mutual. Each leaf is depicted in a different shade of gold; the leaves symbolize Niagara’s growth and prosperity as a community, as well as BCM’s growth from a farm mutual to an all-lines insurance company.

A release said that BCM’s new website will feature content highlighting the company’s commitment to “giving back” to the community, such as news of BCM’s support of non-profit organizations, charities, and other quality-of-life initiatives.

“As a mutual insurance company, we are proud that our policyholders are also owners,” said BCM chairman of the board Howard Augustine. “We are a Niagara based company that re-invests in our community.”

“We are excited to see the new look in action,” added BCM business development manager Ruth Stranges. “We want to connect to a wide range of people and explain the benefits of a mutual insurance approach.”

BCM Insurance recently moved to a new office at 1003 Niagara Street in Welland.
