BrokerLink is expanding its services in Eastern Ontario and Central Alberta, announcing two additional acquisitions for 2023.

A press release from the insurance brokerage confirmed the acquisition of Kranz Insurance & Real Estate Limited and Sims & Associates Insurance Services, effective April 1.

Established in 1930, G. Kranz Insurance serves customers in the Ottawa Valley and provides tailored insurance solutions for their home, auto, business, farm and marine insurance needs.

Meanwhile, Sims Insurance has been providing insurance coverage to Central Alberta communities for over 25 years, specializing in a variety of products for home, auto, condo, tenant, recreational vehicles, and businesses.

“I am pleased to extend a warm welcome to our new team members from G. Kranz Insurance and Sims Insurance,” said Joe D’Annunzio, president of BrokerLink. “These insurance professionals will continue to provide personalized insurance coverage to customers, with the advantage of having access to the additional tools and resources available through BrokerLink’s network.”

BrokerLink’s continued growth

BrokerLink has been expanding its services to communities in Ontario and Alberta since 2022, acquiring several brokerages such as L & M Dallaire Insurance, Cryderman Insurance, D. G. Smith Insurance, Crowsnest Insurance, Tailor Made Insurance, and Bow Valley Insurance.

Among its most recent acquisitions is Myrnam Insurance, which has been providing auto, business, property, and farm insurance across Alberta since 1955.

“We acquire brokerages that are active in their communities and aligned with our guiding principles of being customer-driven and giving back to local communities,” said Michael Stack, BrokerLink’s vice president of acquisitions. “Each acquired brokerage’s values and dedication to exceptional customer service are key factors in these transactions.”

Earlier this year, BrokerLink also announced that it completed 24 acquisitions in 2022.

“We believe that insurance is about people, not things, and broker principals considering BrokerLink as a succession option can be confident knowing that we are customer driven; we act with integrity and respect, and we give back to our communities,” D’Annunzio said of the brokerage acquisition spree.
