Headed up by CRU Group senior vice president and North American director of transportation services Russ Fitzgerald, the new location expands the company’s foothold in Western Canada.

According to CRU Group, the new location also lays the groundwork for the expansion of its specialty claims subsidiary, Maltman International.

“I am excited that we are opening another location in our aggressive Canadian growth plan,” commented Fitzgerald. “Winnipeg is a hub for Canadian transportation risks, and it is important to add this location early in our growth. As we grow across Canada with highly qualified staff, we become stronger and the choice Independent adjusting firm to call.”

In addition to the new office, CRU Group has appointed Murray MacKay as a senior adjuster, to be based in the Winnipeg office. MacKay, who has 28 years of experience with P&C claims and working across North America with catastrophe claims, will report to Fitzgerald.

“I am happy to join CRU Group as their designate representative in Manitoba and Saskatchewan for all lines of insurance,” said MacKay. “The company has grown into the preeminent P&C and CAT claims handling unit, and I look forward to working with the dynamic group of experts at CRU Group.”
