Echelon Financial Holdings (EFH) has named two new members to its board of directors – Robert Ghiz and Sharon Ranson.

Ghiz is president and CEO of the Canadian Wireless Telecommunications Association, and the former premier of Prince Edward Island. He is also currently a member of the board of directors and chair of the audit and risk committee of the Insurance Company of Prince Edward Island, an EFH subsidiary.

Ranson is president of the Ranson Group, a company which offers executive coaching and consulting services. She also serves as a director on numerous other companies’ boards, and is a member of the board of directors of Sprott, Dorel Industries, and Fire & Flower.

EFH said that both Ghiz and Ranson will be subject to election at the company’s annual and special general meeting of shareholders, to be held on December 11, 2020. The two have also been appointed to serve on EFH’s audit and risk committee.

"I am delighted to welcome Robert and Sharon to our board of directors," said EFH chairman Murray Wallace.

Wallace added that both Ghiz and Ranson “bring a wealth of expertise and experience” to EFH’s board, which will benefit the company in its next phase of growth.
