The Insurance Brokers Association of Canada (IBAC) has announced that yet another insurer has maintained its support for its Broker Identity Program (BIP): Gore Mutual Insurance Company.

The BIP is IBAC’s national advertising campaign which raises awareness of the value that brokers provide customers when it comes to choice, advice, and advocacy.

Gore Mutual has renewed its support for IBAC’s BIP at the Full Partner level. Apart from the BIP, the insurer’s investment will also contribute to IBAC’s other initiatives, including the association’s technology leadership, professional development of the broker workforce, and its federal advocacy to maintain the separation of banking and insurance.

“Given the challenging environment in recent years, the expertise and value provided by brokers

is incredibly important to Canadians. At Gore Mutual, we’re invested more than ever in the

broker distribution model and the advice-based channel,” said Gore Mutual president and CEO Andy Taylor. “We’re proud to support IBAC and the important work it does through the Broker

Identity Program. Our continued success and growth is from true partnership with IBAC and its

members.”

“We greatly appreciate Gore’s long-standing partnership with IBAC and their unwavering

support for insurance brokers,” commented IBAC CEO Peter Braid.

Braid added that Gore Mutual’s renewed investment is “a strong vote of confidence and a testament” to the value that brokers provide to the customer experience.

Last month, IBAC announced that Intact Insurance had also renewed its support for the BIP at the Full Partner level. Intact Financial CEO Louis Gagnon stated that the company’s relationship with brokers is “critical to [its] growth and success.”
