Hub International Limited has acquired insurance agency Elevate Insurance Brokers.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Elevate Insurance is a locally owned, independent insurance agency based in Grande Prairie, Alberta. The agency provides P&C insurance, such as home, auto, recreational vehicle, and business insurance.

As part of the transaction, Elevate Insurance president Pierce Krol and partner Otilja Majewski will join Hub International Insurance Brokers – a division of Hub International Canada West ULC. They will report to chief Doug Lyall, chief sales officer and vice-president of the region.

The acquisition is part of Hub’s ongoing commitment to both organic growth and acquisitions to expand its geographic footprint, while strengthening industry and product expertise.

In July, Hub International acquired the life insurance managing general agent business of ivari. Toronto-based ivari maintains a national network of independent advisors that offer a suite of life insurance products.
